Disposal in ocean is long-time method in many countries, however its use today is limited to maximum since its huge impact to the environment.
Radioactive waste is usually dumped far from residential areas, but environmentalists worry that this method might seriously affect nature habitats as radiation can drain nutrients in the sea.
Besides, due to low awareness of dwellers, an amount of unprocessed garbage is dumped directly to the sea. Among these types of waste, plastic – which takes decades to centuries to be decomposed – is the most popular. Scientists predict that till 2025, humans will generate 155 more tons of garbage, making the sea become a giant trash dump and killing millions of oceanic species.
